My name is Laura Miles, a resident of Flat Lick, Kentucky and a small business owner. I have been an artist all my life, having painted as long as I can remember. I have taught children's painting classes for the last six years and been painting commissioned murals for thirty years! Several of my oil paintings been copy written and gone into print for mass publication. My studies include commercial arts, art explorations and therapy art for challenged children.

Artist Statement: I believe God gives us all a talent and it is up to us to discover, nurture and share it. I am grateful for every gift that I has been given to me and wish to share all I can with those willing to learn.

Introduction to class: I focus on challenging each young artist's existing skills and taking them to a more advanced level, while introducing them the brush techniques, materials and styles of acrylic painting. I customize an area of focus where each student will build confidence, see results and have a fun experience too! Some art history and theory may be explored, but I'd rather the students have fun while building confidence and skills. Students will also learn to become more interested in creative approaches to solutions and not confined to a single viewpoint. Creative atmosphere is what we are all about! I look forward to having your little one in class!
